I just arranged six movements of The Nutcracker for six saxophones plus Branford Marsalis, five clarinets and rhythm section for reed and mouthpiece manufacturer Vandoren. The world premeire was Dec. 5 at the Iguana in NYC for the Vandoren Xmas party and it was a blast! I also transcribed/orchestrated/arranged four compositions and three percussion pieces for the Afto Latin Jazz Orchestra and Ballet Hispanico. I had fun conducting the rehearsals and the performance was at the Apollo Theater in NYC on Dec. 17.
